7th Avenue Switch Heater
Rapide Technical Services surveyed the steel structure and then provided design and fabrication drawings for the 7th Avenue Switch Heater, Calgary.
This small structure has 5 walls and 2 roof slopes, none of which are orthogonal to each other. RTS Design were required to survey the steel structure and from this produce the faces to which the panels would be on.
Once the faces were determined the panels had to be modelled, with the panel joints required to be consistent around the different faces. Finally RTS Design produced the fabrication schedules for these panels allowing them to
be fabricated and installed to the as-built structure.
